President-Elect Trump will be canceling Boeings 4 Billion Dollar contract to construct a new Air Force One, which Trump calls "outrageous."
In a tweet today President-Elect Donald Trump said that he would be canceling Boeing's 4 Billion Dollar contract to construct a new Air Force One.
Trump calls Boeings 4 Billion Dollar contract "Outrageous," and says that Boeing is trying to "Pull a number on the government."
WiIN reached out to the Air Force for an accurate sum of how much the Contract is worth, and the Air Force said the contract is only worth "2.7 Billion Dollars."
Contrary to this, some anonymous Pentagon Officials Told WiIN that 4 Billion is what the contract is really worth. One Official said "We defiantly need to reform the way that we create defense contracts."
Trumps actions are very similar to those of President Obama's, when Obama cancelled Lockheed Martins 11.2 billion dollar contract to develop a new fleet of Helicopters. Obama said "I like my Helicopter the way it is now."
