The Mass of America; Are we doing enough?

High blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity are only a few of the many consequences that result from the dietary choices of our nation today. While we should eat to live, it seems as though many Americans today, live to eat.

Although many Americans have recently become more conscience of their dietary choices, the difficulty to afford quality food serves as a barrier. Healthy food just isn't readily available anymore.

Over the past 8 years, Michelle Obama has been proactive in changing the lifestyle habits of many Americans with the Let's Move! campaign. However, in a few weeks she will not be living in the White House anymore, and federal government's role in the obesity epidemic might come to a grinding halt.

Newly elected president Donald Trump has not addressed the issue that is facing many Americans, including a lot of those who voted for him. Our representatives are reaching out to him for a statement, but we are yet to get a response.

But still, one question remains; Will he do his part to maintain the progress Michelle has started, or will he continue to not address the pressing issue, and take the country back a step.
